SRKNEC Alumni Association Rajasthan Chapter organised a Grand Rajasthan RKNEC Alumni meet on 6th April 2012 in Jaipur.

The Rajasthan State RKNEC Alumni Association organised its first Alumni Meet in Hotel Jaipur Palace, Tonk Road, Jaipur on 6th April 2012. Prof R S Dhiran, Prof-in-Charge Alumni, RCOEM (formerly known as RKNEC), Prof P D Pachpor ex-Prof-in-Charge Alumni Association along with RKNEC Alumni Association President Tushar Marghade graced the inaugural function. A huge gathering of RKNEC Alumni enjoyed interacting with visiting dignitaries during the meet.

The Alumni meet started with floral welcome of visiting dignitaries from Nagpur Parent chapter Prof R S Dhiran, Prof P D Pachpor and Tushar Marghade. The visiting guests were welcomed in traditional Rajastani culture by tying Rajasthani headgear ‘Saafa’.

Dr Vimal Gahlot, in his opening remark shared his thoughts and briefed his future plans. He said that his main aim for the Rajasthan chapter will be to increase interaction between RKNEC Alumni in the state. He promised that he will make this newly created Rajasthan chapter a vibrant organisation. The chapter was declared officially opened by Prof R S Dhiran.

Prof.R. S. Dhiran and Prof.P.D.Pachpor shared their experiences and updated to all alumni gathered about recent progress made by their alma mater. They urged all alumni to give their contribution and support as experienced industry professionals to take the college and association to new heights. They encouraged the alumni to come in for campus placements in their alma mater.

Dr.Vimal Gahlot (98 Civ), Sanjay Bajpai (93 E&P), Akhilesh Mittal (97 Civ), Sameer Gupta (93 Ind), Er Mukesh Maheshwari, Jitendra Kumar Sharma, Surendra Yadav (93 EN),  Rishabh Kamani and many others worked in making this Alumni Meet a grand success.

The RKNEC Alumni association Executive Members from the Parent Chapter in Nagpur sent in their compliments which were conveyed to the gathering. The messages from  Sanjay Gupta, IPP, Ajay Sanghi, VP and Mrs Mridula Korde, Secretary, RKNEC Alumni Association Nagpur Chapter were conveyed to the gathering.

All the attendees were welcomed with floral boquet and a moment from RKNEC Rajasthan Chapter. The Visiting dignitaries were presented with a Momento on behalf of all Alumni of the Rajsthan Chapter.

The family get-together concluded with dinner on the roof top of Hotel Jaipur Palace.

RCOEM Alumni Association organises visit of Industry Leaders

RCOEM Alumni Association arrange Industry Institute interaction with Mr. Manish Vyas and Mr. Amitava Dutta.

With an endeavor to expose SRCOEM to corporate sector and increase their understanding towards the technology transformation by live corporate experiences, RCOEM Alumni Association has organized interaction by inviting Mr. Manish Vyas, who has been associated with Tech Mahindra for over 10 years in various capacities and currently serving as a Vice President (North America) and Client Partner and Mr.  Amitava Dutta, IT consultant who has worked for a number of industry leaders in the Information Technology field; companies such as: Siemens Information Systems Limited (SISL), Tech Mahindra (TM), CMC Ltd, TCS and UshaComm (an entrepreneurial venture).

This interaction took place on 26^th march 2012 where the eminent guest spoke about the changing trends in technology and about its transformation. They also emphasized that curriculum should involve technology and online connectivity to a larger extent.

The interaction took place in the presence of Dr. K.N Agrawal, Dr. I.P.Keswani, Prof. P.D.Pachphor, Mr. Tushar Margade, Prof. Mridula Korde, Prof. Rupesh Pias and other faculty members of the college. It was indeed a great value addition by the guest to the faculty members.

The Rajasthan State RKNEC Alumni Meet will be hosted for the first time on such a Grand Scale where organising team is taking every efforts to invite RKNEC Alumni from all over the state of Rajasthan for Jaipur Alumni Meet. Dr.Vimal Gahlot, Krishna Kumar Bajaj, Rishabh Kamani, Sanjay Bajpai, Mukesh Maheshwari, Sameer Gupta, Gurpreet Makan, Anuj Sharma are working towards making this Alumni Meet a grand success.

The agenda of the meet will be to strengthen RKNEC network in the state of Rajasthan and to promote interaction between the alumni and the faculty members of the alma mater.

Conclave 2011 was organised on 25th dec 2011

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, alumni Meet, Conclave 2011, was inaugurated by the Mr. Manish Vyas, Vice President, Tech Mahindra and Alumnus of RCOEM on 25^th evening. The occasion was graced by more than 300 Alumni and their family members ranging across various batches from various parts of the country and outside the country as well. Speaking on the occasion, the Dr.V.S.Deshpande, Principal RCOEM underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of RCOEM in all walks/spheres of life. He felt that it was matter of great pride for RCOEM that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Government organizations, PSUs, Private sector, Academic Institutions. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs providing jobs to others as well. He praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and current students.

The Inaugural session was also attended by various Deans, HODs, and faculty and staff members of RCOEM. The Prof In Charge of Alumni Association, Prof .Dhiran highlighted the achievements of RCOEM and called for greater Alumni Participation.

The President of Alumni association, ALUMNUS, Tushar Marghade welcomed the alumni and their family members in the campus and appreciated their zeal to assemble here despite the inclement weather. He presented the report of the activities undertaken by the association since last Alumni Meet in 2010. Many new chapters are functioning across the Globe and these bodies hold their own get together as well. He informed the house that a scholarship to the needy students has been started by the Association and expressed his confidence to increase the number of scholarships in near future. He also outlined many future activities to be taken up by the Association. The gathering was also addressed by the representatives of local chapters. Dr . K.N.Agrawal and Prof P .D .Pachpor also spoke during the occasion and emphasized on the strengthening the bond of alumni with their Alma Mater. The vote of the thanks was given by Prof. Mridula Korde, general secretary of Alumni association.

Before the felicitation cultural programme by our students Music Band was performed. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. Many of the current students were also seen interacting with their pass out seniors and learning from their experiences. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in groups.

The key highlight of the Alumni Meet was Mock class activity and exclusive video prepared by students for 1995 Batch. The Alumni remembered of their days in the campus.

During the MOCK class Activity involvement of the alumnus, and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement, career counseling and any other help. It was also decided to raise funds to develop the student’s activity centre coming up in the campus and other activities. The Meet ended with promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved RCOEM.

RKNEC Alumni Association organised a seminar “Higher Education in US” on 23^rd December 2011. The seminar got a very positive response with a participation of more that 55 students. Prof. Anish Goel, Electronics Department and Prof Megha Nagpal, Industrial Department was the speakers of the seminar. The seminar was inaugurated in presence of Prof. R. S. Dhiran, Prof In Charge of Alumni Association , Mr. Tushar Marghade, Prersident of RKNEC Alumni Association and Prof. Mridula Korde, Secretary Alumni Association. Prof Anju Gupta and Prof Rakshal Agrawal were also present during the seminar. The speakers guided the students in area of GRE and TOFEL tests, MS degree and options, On Campus Job, F1 Visa , Cost and Expenses and Questionnaires analysis. The students found the session to be highly informative and useful as that will help them to plan their higher education in US. It was very evident that the seminar was greatly appreciated and the students had an opportunity to have the answer for their doubts and queries. It was then an open discussion wherein pressing issues from the field were discussed.

RKNEC Alumni Association manages most vibrant facebook page. It reaches out to their alumni network through emails, Text messages and association regular meets conducted all over world.

RKNEC Alumni Association also helps alumni to identify openings through refer a friend schemes. Today many alumni are receiving help from their Alumni network in finding jobs. To facilitate efficient communication RKNEC alumni association has created an email ID : where job openings can be emailed. RKNEC Alumni Association will pick up the requirements and post it to receive direct feedback.

The Ramdeobaba College Of Engineering and Management (formerly RKNEC) Alumni Association conducted  its North America Chapter’s East Coast Alumni meet in New Jersey on 24^th November 2011.It turned to be a wonderful evening to rekindle old memories amongst the alumni, re-calling the heydays at RCOEM and bringing the RCOEM community of alumni and faculty together. The meet was inaugurated through video conference session from the New Jersey venue to the college campus Nagpur. This video conference session was attended by all Head of Departments, Staff Members and Executive team of Alumni Association in college campus. US based alumni who were present for the alumni meet interacted with those present in the video conference room and introduced them and shared their success stories. Principal Dr V S Deshpande and Vice Principal Dr Rajesh Pande attended the meet at New Jersey and gave the opening remarks. They highlighted the growth and achievements of college in academic development, student’s placement and research activities. Prof Anish Goel and Prof Vishal Rathee coordinated the entire video conference session. Those who were present in campus included Prof-in-charge Alumni Association Prof R S Dhiran, Prof P D Pachpor (Civil), Prof K N Agrawal (Industrial), Prof Hemant Diddee (Electrical), Prof N M Deshkar (Electrical), Prof M B Damle (Electronics), Prof I P Keswani (Industrial), Prof Vilas Nitnaware(EDT), Dr S B Pokale (E&C), Prof D R Zanwar (Industrial), Prof Nitin P Narkhede (E&C), Prof Rajesh B Raut (E&C), Dr Mohan M Renge (Electrical), Dr.Tutlane (Electical), Prof S S Uparkar (MCA), Prof Suman Sengupta (MCA), Prof Anish Goel (Electronics), Prof Vishal Rathee and many staff members. Mr.Ranjan Ghate took the lead in organizing this meet in New Jersey. RKNEC Alumni Association President Tushar Marghade thanked all the staff members for actively supporting Alumni Association activities. The meet also acknowledged the contributions and achievements of all alumni. The Alumni showed a great interest in boosting the current students of RCOEM for the proper selection of US universities and guiding them. Moreover, it’s  was a great opportunity for RCOEM alumni to meet old buddies, rekindle relationship with the institute, engage with students, meet faculty, industry champions and last, but not least, have a great time together. The meet was celebrated in high spirits, making  a huge success.
